Justin Gatlin 2006 NIKE Commercial Posted: 20 Dec 2009 12:10 PM PST Remember when Justin Gatlin was a household name? Why not? He won the 100 meter gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games when Asafa Powell was considered the favourite. This NIKE commercial was shot in the spring of 2006 prior to the announcement of his eight-year ban from track and field. That didn't stop him from trying out for football. However, on December 31, 2007, Gatlin's ban was reduced to four-years. What does this mean? It means 2010 will be very interesting as we await for his return. How is he going to earn his living? Will the Diamond League ban him as they did with Dwain Chambers? In any case, I actually like this commercial on YouTube… maybe I'm just a sucker for guitar solos being a Mason Williams fan.
