My favorite holidays are the eating holidays, and if you can work beer in there, so much the better. It's no surprise then, that St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorites.

A Layman's Guide to Stout
I come from a family of beer purists. At my parents' house, stout is the preferred form of foam, and woe betide someone who drinks a porter out of a pilsner glass. My love of green beer, therefore, is considered somewhat suspect.

How to Make Green Beer
But who among us can resist the lure of brightly colored beverages? Especially for a holiday. Also, as an added bonus? Easy to make.

How to Make Green Cocktails
Not a beer person? No problem. You can still enjoy a green libation or two.

St. Patrick's Day Cocktails
As devoted as I am to green beer, I might need to make room in my festivities for an Irish Cactus: "The mix of tequila and Irish cream liqueur is nice and smooth and this lowball on the rocks is great as an after dinner sipper."
