In my mind, 300 calories should be about the size of a roast, if roasts were made entirely of chocolate. The reality, sadly, is somewhat different.

Three-hundred calories does not, however, need to look like a tiny sad little teaspoon of snackage. Depending on which foods you choose, 300 calories can go a long way.
