Happy Birthday! Win a Copy of Complete Speed Training for Sprinters Posted: 24 May 2010 06:55 AM PDT
Speedendurance.com went live on Monday, May 21, 2007. That was Victoria Day in Canada (or La fĂȘte de Dollard-des-Ormeaux in Quebec). So this weekend marks the three year anniversary. This site has helped hundreds of athletes and coaches achieve personal bests, seasons bests, and Masters "age category" bests over the past three years. And I don't plan on slowing down either (at least not on paper, that is!) In the past 3 years, Speedendurance had over 1,200,000 visitors and almost 3 million pageviews. That's a lot of pageviews or real "hits" in layman's term.
SpeedEndurance is FasterIn my never ending quest for speed, SpeedEndurance has gotten faster! Since mid-April, this Blog is using a CDN – a worldwide Content Delivery Network to speed up the downloads. In the past, SpeedEndurance was hosted on a single server in the Western USA. Today, it is cached Worldwide. Most notable differences will be users in the major USA hubs: Los Angeles, New York, Virginia, Seattle, Dallas, and Chicago. On the International side, Amsterdam is the major hub. So instead of myself (in Italy) going all the way to the USA to access my web site, I go to Amsterdam and Germany which is a lot quicker… when I have Internet access, that is… I do have my challenges in life! My Gift to YouIn a perfect world, one receives a gift on their birthday. And I did by receiving a copy of Complete Speed Training for Sprinters from the good folks at Athlete Acceleration (Thanks Pat and Latif!) In appreciation, I want to say a big Thank You to all the 1.2 Million readers in over 200 countries and offer a gift to YOU. I am holding a contest where one lucky winner will receive a complimentary copy of Complete Speed Training for Sprinters. (contest rules below) Normally the price is $247 and this week only it is on sale for $177. What the heck is Complete Speed Training for Sprinters?Athlete Acceleration's Complete Speed Training for Sprinters is a complete resource for track & field athletes, coaches and parents. It's NOT an ebook NOR digital download NOR online videos. It's 9 hours of video totaling 11 DVDs and manual delivered directly to your door. Here is a list of the contents:
You could, however, scour through this Blog and check out the 1000 articles already posted as all the topics were covered in my own words over the past 3 years. That would take a lot of time to collect. The Contest RulesIn the Comment box below or the Facebook comment box, simply write down Why You Love Track & Field or What you've gained from SpeedEndurance.com. That's it. The contest will end Monday May 31 @midnight PDT and one lucky winner will be chosen at random using Randomizer. If by small chance you purchased the product already (remember the sale price ends on May 28th) then I can arrange a similar Speed Training gift of equal value such as their award winning classic Complete Speed Training for all sports. Good Luck to everyone. Onwards and upwards to Year 4. There will be a lot of good surprises this year, trust me on that! If you've followed the Blog carefully, there are numerous hints and clues scattered everywhere. Copyright © 2010 by Speedendurance.com. All Rights Reserved. |
Usain Bolt 19.76 Shanghai Diamond League 200m Video Posted: 23 May 2010 01:37 PM PDT
After months of waiting, the Diamond League has begun! Gone is the Golden League. It was great while it lasted. It also mean the Rome Golden Gals will be bumped up to June this year from the traditional July slot. The headline is, no doubt, Usain Bolt. His 100m in Daegu, South Korea looked awful, but he still mustered a victory. Bolt's first 200 meter race of the season in mid-February was a 19.56 world leading time for the 200m into a headwind in Kingston. So we know he's strong. And lets not forget Tyson Gay's 19.41 straight 200 meter world What's he going to run? Weather permitting, that is.
