When I was a kid, a teacher told me that the job I'd have someday probably hadn't been invented yet. Of course, I thought she was nuts. There were already plenty of singers and veterinarians and astronauts.

My plan, of course, was to combine all three, and sing my own theme song while riding a pony on Mars.

How to Tell Legitimate Home Jobs From Scams
My job today is perhaps slightly less glamorous, but I do have one awesome benefit I couldn't have foreseen as a child: Sometimes, I can work at home.

Typical Work-at-Home Scams
The occasional day is plenty for me, because I miss people if I can't harass them in person. Some folks, on the other hand, would love to work at home all the time. And the good news is that this is possible now - as long as you're aware of work-at-home scams while you're looking for your perfect gig.

Work at Home Jobs for Moms
Many of my work-at-home friends are parents. Their jobs' flexibility makes it easier for them to be around for the things that matter outside of work. (Another benefit: No lugging around car seats and baby carriages.)
