About Today: 1000 Ways to Remember 9/11

For most of us in the US, and especially here in New York, 9/11 is never very far from our thoughts. For years, we rode subways past the stops that were closed after the attack, and walked past the reconstruction where the Towers once stood. This weekend, we'll spare a few extra moments to remember those we lost.

1000 Ways to Remember 9/11
The other night, I sat on my stoop and watched the test run of the Tribute in Light shine over the rooftops in my neighborhood. I think I like that better than a tribute in stone or metal.

Remember September 11 in New York City
If you're in NYC this weekend, take in one of the many memorial events around the city.

Remembering the World Trade Center
We often forget that a total of eight buildings were destroyed that day. Still others were condemned later, or damaged and repaired in the aftermath.
