From Jen Hubley, your About Today Editor
I have a friend who has an uncanny ability to win any Oscar pool - even those categories the Academy lists waaay down at the bottom. I, on the other hand, should be paid by directors to vote for their enemies' films.

How the Voting Process Works
Of course, my picks don't really count. Except in the realm of winning the pool, and then they're very, very important. As much as five dollars might be riding on this, people.

2010 Academy Award Nominees
I think we should just make this simple: Have Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron make a film in which blue aliens defuse bombs. Problem solved!

The Films of Kathryn Bigelow
I'm almost afraid to say this, because it might jinx her, but I'm rooting for Kathryn Bigelow. For one thing, she made one of the best vampire movies I've ever seen - long before vampires sparkled and moped.

Academy Awards Trivia
This is my favorite. The only Oscar to win an Oscar: Oscar Hammerstein II won the Oscar for his song, "The Last Time I Saw Paris," in the movie 'Lady Be Good' (1941). Hee!
