There are many things I love about my mother, but here is one I don't: She's a naturally skinny person. She also loves to bake, and is really good at it. (Seriously. I still have friends who talk about a pie she baked for me four years ago.) All of this means that when I go to her house for Thanksgiving, I need to be extra careful about what I put on my plate - because it'll definitely wind up on my waistline.

I have a roll problem. I can murder a bread basket all by myself in about ten minutes, if I'm allowed. So my first step this Thanksgiving will be to skip the bread. (Which probably means caving and having one roll. But hey, that's better than five.)
