From Jen Hubley, your About Today Editor
New Year's Eve is in a few hours, and I've just realized that I have nothing to wear. This happens every year. Despite the fact that I continue to buy outfits, I still have nothing to put on come party time.

Dressing for Special Occasions
My theory is that my closet is actually eating my clothes. Not all of them, mind you. Just the cute ones.

10 Ways to Sex up (Not Sleaze up!) Your Look
The paint-stained sweatpants from college are still there, as is everything that fit when I was smaller or larger than I am now.

Best Dressy Holiday Looks
It's cute clothes in my current size, appropriate to the occasion but not too revealing, that I seem to be missing.

What to Wear to Parties
The good news is that this gives me an excuse to go out and buy something new. After all, some cultures believe that it's essential to start out the new year with new clothes. Who am I to say any different?

About Today: 6 Ways to Recycle a Christmas Tree

If you can't see this email, click here

About.com

From Jen Hubley, your About Today Editor
My husband and I are suckers, which is why we tend to buy the saddest Christmas tree on the lot and decorate it as if it were the White House fir. This makes us feel like we're really getting into the spirit of the season, at least until Christmas passes and our sad little Charlie Brown tree disintegrates in its stand.

6 Ways to Recycle Your Christmas Tree
At least this makes recycling easier. Pretty much, we just need to sweep the remains into an envelope and mail it to the recycling center. Easy-peasy!

10 Ideas for Recycling Christmas Trees
If you've got a larger and less waif-like tree, you'll need more than a dust pan to help you dispose of your tree.

Worst Club Sandwich in America?

Posted: 30 Dec 2010 07:05 AM PST

I used to pride myself in ordering a Club sandwich when travelling, usually at the hotel restaurants.  The other options were burgers, pizza or overcooked pasta.

As an athlete, I tried to stay healthy.  Even as a coach, I try to be role model in front of my hungry athletes (good thing I like bubbly water, instead of Coke or Fanta).  I save the Pliny the Elder for after track meets.

On my last business trip to the Bay Area, I ended up at the famous (chain) The Cheesecake Factory.

And yes, they sell food other than cheesecake.

Just for fun, I noticed Cheesecake Factory Grilled Shrimp and Bacon Club…

Guess how many calories are in it?  Fat?  Sodium?

Cheesecake Factory Grilled Shrimp and Bacon Club

1,746 calories
28 g saturated fat
2,306 mg sodium

cheescake_factory_grilled_shrimp_club

Okay, so you think their seafood pasta is any better?

Cheesecake Factory Bistro Shrimp Pasta

2,727 calories
78 g saturated fat
1,737 mg sodium

Cheesecake_Factory_Bistro_Shrimp_Pasta

YIKES!  That's a lot of calories, fat and sodium, and we're looking at just a single meal!  Not the full day's supply.

So what I eventually ordered isn't the point of this article (hey, it was a business meeting).  It is to be aware of all the hidden calories, fats, salts, and sugars that exists.  And that includes liquid meals like shakes and smoothies, too.

Remember, the 3 golden rules at a French restaurant to make any dish taste better are:

  1. Add butter
  2. Add cream
  3. Add butter and cream

Just make smart decisions when eating out.

Your hose will stay

Dear fashionin2010.fashionin2010,

- If you have heard a million times that size does not matter, one can agree with that in certain situations. But have you ever heard women saying that the quality of erection is not a characteristic of a lover that matters? Absolutely no, sir. That's because every woman dreams of a man who is able to quickly achieve and maintain erection for as long as it is needed for her to be completey satisfied.

- If you still cannot boast such ability in bed, or worse than that – you feel like you are losing your sexual stamina – it is high time you started thinking about these matters before it's too late! Anyway, here is some great news for everybody who after all thinks that size matters – those blue erectile dysfunction pills work in both directions, helping you to achieve and maintain stone hard erection and enlarging your penis.

- If you have questions as for how it all works we will be happy to answer at leas few of them. To begin with, erectile dysfunction pills block certain receptors in your blood that impede corpora cavernosa hollows found in your penis from diluting. This done, the pills start giving those hollows in your penile tissues accept as much blood as they possibly can, pushing those limits to unbelievable previously unexperienced levels.

- As a result of this you achieve fantastically strong erection by way of boosting your blood circulatioin in penile tissues that eventually brings to overall enlargment of your penis size. Finally, your penile tissues become ten times more sensitized than they normally are – you will feel every single stimulation as acutely as if you experienced them for the very first time!

- Those magic pills are a true innovation and reinvention of your sexuality potentials. Find out how good you can be in bed no matter how old you are – extreme pleasure is guaranteed for you and your loved one! Faster recharges, total control over the length of the sexual act and increased size – what other characteristics of a perfect lover can women wish for?

You're not alone! Almost all men experience occasional difficulty having an erection.

New Year's Resolutions: So easy to make, so hard to keep. Unless, like me, you resolve every year to stop setting unreasonable goals. Then you can start out by not making resolutions, and you're already a winner.

But perhaps you'd like to be a better sport about the whole thing. In that case, I recommend reading this piece on how to keep a resolution, once you've made one.
